its probalby because that engine has a zillion miles and needs a complete overhaul. Everything you have told us about this engine so far screams REBUILD ME. ;/) only way to know is mic the hole and mic the new bushing, and ask a machinist if the fit will be tight enough. or take them in to the machine shop nad have them check them out. I cant remember seeing a spec for the wrist pin hole anywhere.
