Sure, you're right. My point is, even going 60 over may not be enough. I guess I could figure out how much increasing piston size by .020 would close the ring gap down, but I will leave that to someone else.

I just have a suspicion, this block is done. These are low-performance engines and maybe some band-aid stuff will get some more life out of the engine. But, unless the rest of the truck is good (brakes, tires, on and on) it may not make financial sense.
