Yep, fitting is a job for a machinist.

But, what seems like a pretty ball park requirement is actually fairly precise. Just a little too loose and the pin will slide right through without resistance. A little too tight and you won't be able to push the pin in. There's not much room for variation.

When you get the pins back you will see. What you are trying for is the ability for the pin to move without having any slop.

Didn't you say you were going to rebuild the engine in place? How's that going, or did you decide to pull the engine?
