I am in the market for a cordless impact wrench for a relatively light duty project but figure if I buy one I would like something that would be useful for automotive (truck) projects when air is unavailable. So anyone have any experience with these and what would you recommend? I was looking at the box stores and can find a Dewalt 18V for about $300 dollars with 300 ft-lbs torque. There is a 20V version with 325 ft-lbs but only available as a bare tool so have to buy batteries and ends up around $450. Both of these have two batteries at that price. Online I found Matco sells one with one battery and 700 lbs-ft for $600 and IR sells a 750 lbs-ft for $650. Maybe the IR is available at a better price but only found one with one battery.

Are the Matco or IR impacts worth the extra cash? I figure DeWalt knows batteries and motors, but IR or Matco know the impact portion. I imagine snap on makes something also.
