I dissasembled the 230 55 Plymouth engine out of the 48 FFPW today. All the rod bearing measured .003 clearance using plastigauge. Several pistons had broken rings and the middle two main bearing had spun. I was not sure how to read the size of the bearings and pistons. Each piston has a different 2 digit numbers like 36 and 42 cast into the side. The rod bearing has CB 60M and below MG 12 9. Any comment would be appreciated. Is there anything to be learned from the information so far before I bring it to the shop for measurements.
