Stak by design was a better case than Atlas in my opinion. Here is what I know and it is by no means gospel. Rewind several years ago. Stak was a side business for another company. The primary product of that company took precedence and Stak marketing and customer service took a distant back seat. This combined with some R&D work not getting done in a timely manner to fix some issues led to a lot of bad P.R. and they have more or less stopped making the Stak. Fast forward to this year. Trailworthy Fabrications tried to purchase the rights and designs from Stak and TF started doing customer service repairs and the mentioned R&D to fix a jumping out of gear issue. The deal went south for several reasons. TF now has begun work on making their own transfer case. They are focusing initially on the high horsepower rock racing market and will eventually scale down this case for more common markets. The idea being it's easier to scale down a bullet proof case than to scale up a weaker case to handle the severe abuse. I have yet to hear if they have released any cases.
