I don't know from the different kinds. The auto parts stores have two- EXPENSIVE 3M, more reasonable stuff from a different company, and the house repair caulk from the big box store. The 3M stuff glues windshields to flat surface, is very permanent. The glass companies break the glass out, then scrape the goo off. So it's the lumber yard stuff for me.
