So, pulled the fuel pump off the side of this WC53 engine and pretty sure there is supposed to be a lever attached to the back of the fuel pump. Previous owner was running an electric pump based on the way the fuel lines and wires were run and it appears it was yanked out of the truck. I'm guessing that the lever broke off and fell into the pan... wonder if it was ever removed from the pan? Instead of buying a new fuel pump I'm guessing they decided to just stick the broken pump back on and go with it. However they were tidy enough to cap off the fitting ports on the pump... wondering if maybe they did an e pump conversion and then just removed the lever and put the pump back to cover the hole? I know in the J**P world they typically put a block off plate over it.
