I filled the cracks in one steering wheel with JB weld and sanded the spots smooth. (it had lots of cracks so it took a while)The second wheel I used a two part epoxy that I had on the shelf and started to sand it but I have yet to finish it but I see no reason why it wont work just as well. The sanded wheel is painted with several coats of Rustoleum Satin Black and the other has yet to be fully painted. I did try a spot of black appliance epoxy, which seems to be pretty hard stuff and it did stick so that is probably what I will use on that wheel. Neither wheel has been used yet so I have no idea how long the finishes may last.
