My wife and I lived on the Hood Canal in Washington state for a few months in 1970. We rented a little room in a barn from an old man in his late 70s then. He showed us a reservation that was "given" to an Indian tribe as a place for their reservation. Who knows what the exact details for it were and when it even happened. The sad thing is the area floods frequently and the Indians who live there have to deal with the water. I know this kind of post is off topic and maybe controversial, but it does seem that developers and government agencies have done some pretty lame things to the unsuspecting and the less financially well-off.
