I worked overtime and got sent as part of an engine strike team to cover BEU, San Benito/Monterey Unit. We got here Friday nit/ Saturday morning, about 1am. Covering Hollister Station for their engines doing numerous control burns in the area.
So yesterday we went to the Hollister Hills OHV Park. Showed the guys where we have our rally, and even drove the engine out on some of the same trails we drive our Power Wagons on. Took em to the mud pit, showed em the teeter totter. I was gonna do it with the engine, but figured it would break it, lol. My firefighters tried to get me to take the engine thru the mud pit. HA, uuuummm NO. Good time, the park guys said we could go anywhere we wanted since we are the State fire dept.
Good times.
Completely forgot to take some pics. Supposed to be here another day or two, so maybe we will go back out.
