If you had an early poly bell housing that came with the crash box 4 spd you might be able to change out the input shaft in the M37 420 to the input from the poly crash box(I have never tried it). Although the bolt pattern on the poly bell housing would be correct the poly input shaft is 1 inch longer than the M37 420 and ffpw crash box. All of this would be necessary to keep the driver side PTO for the winch. The V8 bell housings are 1 inch deeper.
