Hi and thank you for responding. I did buy the 270 and she spins freely by hand. I will grab a gasket kit and put it on a test stand to run it and check it out before I get deep in a conversion. I will keep researching the trans adapter and ready her for a clean FFPW frame I am redoing and powder coating. I also have a 1966 FFPW and have heard the water pump clearance is easier in that truck. Thanks again. Be safe, Tim
