I'm 25 minutes from Fort Hood. I would be glad to escort you around the world's largest Army base with its two museums. My Power Wagon is registered on post so I have no access issues.
In Austin 60 miles south, there's Camp Mabry and the Texas Military Forces Museum.
You may want to have a real estate agent on standby to sell your house so you can just stay here.
