the bypass was removed from all the flatheads in 1951 I think. they added an extra water port to the block and head that acted as the bypass eliminating the need for those extra parts. 201, 218, 230, (except Canadian) all share the same block. nothing changed till about 51 then they all changed to internal bypass.
