they are designed to go 55 at 3200 rpms with stock 36 inch tall tires. if your tires are shorter than that it will reduce top speed. 3200 rpms is not too high for the 230. I have run all mine at those rpms many 10s of thousands of miles without issue. the 6 blade fan on the WCs and early PWs make a ton of noise. But it works really well in the summer. especially in offroad scenarios. I have been on the trial with multpile other brands of 4x4, toyotoas, jeeps, chevies, ford etc and while they ALL had overheating issues I have never any on the same trips. a 4 blade will quiet things down a bit but you sacrifice cooling ability
