Completely gone thru fuel system, tank cleaned and lined, upgraded hotheads fuel pump adapter with new modern small block fuel pump, new hard lines, clear filter before pump, glass filter bowl before carb, dipped carb overnight, blew every passage out with carb cleaner then compressed air, painted with Eastwood carb renew.

I have a Napa no balast resistor coil that I need to swap just to see if it makes a difference.

She starts and runs so extremely smooth its amazing. I drove around and didn't have any problems for the first 10 short trips , 1 mile, back and forth from the shop to the house and didn't have any issues. I changed the pump at the first sign. That didn't change anything but add 4 psi to the measly 1.3 psi from the stock pump.

That is why I think it is an ignition system problem.
