Where my place is, in the bottom of a deep N/S valley, it's hardly ever windy except during a thunderstorm. Last night was windy all night, which was weird, and then it really picked up today, gusting hard from the south. I heard three trees blow down at different times across the creek below my place. One was a real big one that raised quite a cloud of dust. It was probably one of the old cedar snags from the 1910 fire. They're falling down all over these days. Kind of sad when they're all gone. Lots of limbs on the road, but only one little tree across it.
