I suspect you need to pull that casting off .

Might consider drilling a small hole at the end of the crack as well . You will need to have the cracks V grooved pretty much through to the other side .. On non tempered frames we have heated the area up first with a torch , then welded and then allowed it to cool slowly . The reason for this is when the crack is welded very often a new crack will show up right at the edge of the weld . On a poopy old piece of machinery I have sen 4 or 5 welds side by side . The best cure is to cut the whole mess out and replace with new metal that has an angle or curve to it instead of a straight join .
