1st series bed

Ok guys...I have a 54 flat fender that I would call 1/4 done with restoration.....My problem is, I bought a 1st series bed a few years back because beds just seemed rare as hens teeth...Now that I see they have come more available, do I use the first series or sell it and buy the next series so it is %100 correct? It really wont be that big of a deal to me seeing as how its going to be a driver and average Joes' wont know the difference until looking at the gauges in the cab to realize its a different vintage??? Help me make up my mind on which avenue to go down!!!! Thanks Steve
