Same way as usual. Just be sure to protect your fuel gauge (if you are lucky enough to have a working one) and light bulbs on the 6 volt vehicle.

It's good to have a jumper wire available to "hot wire" the ignition so you don't have to turn on the ignition switch and send 12 volts to everything else.

I'd be more worried about damaging some sensitive computer system on a newer vehicle. So, before risking my $100,000 Mercedes Benz (if I had one) or a $50,000 turbo diesel, I would use an isolated 12 volt battery and connect it only while actually starting to avoid over heating anything on the Power Wagon.

If you decide to risk your slave vehicle, don't run the engine. There will be plenty of voltage to start the 6 volt Power Wagon.

Trying to jump a 12 volt system with a 6 volt battery is useless unless you have two 6 volt batteries.

If you have a 6 volt system, buy a battery charger with 6 volt capability. You will need it eventually.
