Tim;

I dont have the Saginaw PS box part numbers. Three of my trucks are using mid 70's Dodge/Saginaw Boxes. My M37 is using a Mid 90's, GM Saginaw PS Box. All boxes are reverse rotation. The Dodge vs GM boxes are NOT interchangeable, the output spline and taper is very different. YOu can click on the Link below to my Image Event Site for pictures. The Power Wagon, Carryall and Power Giant are Dodge/Saginaw Boxes. The M37 is a GM/Saginaw box.

The following information was supplied to a request of mine from AGR Performance Power Steering;
The Saginaw Power Steering Box has a torsion control valve. The selection of the valve used will determine the amount of power assist which relates to Road Feel. I have found that a .210 valve give me the steering feel on my PW/M37/WC very much equal to my 2003 RAM CTD. This 210 valve was suggested by AGR Performance Power Steering. Even though its listed as a light valve, it gives much more road feel that a stock Saginaw Box.

The available valves and Suggested Road Feel are;
185 = .185 XX Light
200 = .200 X Light
210 = .210 Light
220 = .220 Light
235 = .235 Med/Light
250 = .250 Medium
265 = .265 Medium
275 = .275 Med/Heavy
300 = .300 Heavy

Ads I mentioned, I use the 210 valve in all my boxes which gives road feel much equal to my Dodge Ram CTD. Your perception of road feel may not be the same as mine. Check with a PS Box rebuilder for their recommendation on the Torsion Valve number for your application.

Paul
