A lot of PW/M's are fitted with the ~30" tires and they work well. My '53 M37 is fitted with 39.5" IROK's, and my axle breaks have all been due to off road use (abuse). the only on-road issue was my bead lock wheels don't like high way use. I would suspect for on road use, you could easly get into the mid 40's with your power setup. M has a re-built '68 W200 318 with a RV cam.
