Cut about a three foot piece off one of the posts you are removing. Take a chain and wrap it twice around the base of the post to be removed. Take the three foot piece you just cut and place it at about a 45 degree angle to the post and drape the chain over the angled piece and pull the chain with your winch. The short angled piece acts like fulcrum and will lift the post out of the ground rather than pulling it over.
