all my poly powered trucks got 12 mpg. that is in D300s and W100. one D300 with poly ihad got better but it had a brownie OD in it nad a smaller than stock carb. flatheads are excellent on the trail. the low rpm performance is better than a V motor. almost like driving an autmatic tranny it idles down without dying so well. and use less fuel offroad than a V8.
