hi all, my old 74 crewcab (360 2bbl) heats up while idling after pulling a load (18 ft stock trailer) It runs cool enough while we're moving however. It has a direct mounted fan, no clutch, however, it is only 4 blades. Should I try to look for 5 or 6 blade fan with a clutch? Or an aftermarket flexblade fan? Or is the problem more to do with the capacity of the radiator, I'm not sure how many 'rows' it has. How do you tell. I took an air hose and blew the dust and bugs and crap out of the rad, there wasn't very much however. Coolant level is right up where it should be too. Fan belt is tight too. Hoses are in good shape. Whattaya think?
