The trani is the same in the "A" and "B" versions as well as 2x4 and 4x4 - just has different case end. The trans did have some changes over the decades but nothing major. I have not rebuilt one but do have a video and manual giving step by step instructions on doing it. It does not appear complicated. The video and 727 manual are sold by J.C. Whitney and cost under $30 combined. I highly recomend them. Good luck.
