All Part of the same block series. 237-251-265. All three have the same bore as its the stroke length that makes the cubes. 237-4 1/4"/ 251-4 1/2"/ 265-4 3/4"(4.766). The 237 has it all over the 230 with more HP and Torque but with much less stroke which allows it to run higher RPMs and much smoother at hi way speeds yet gets maximum Torque at a low 1200 RPM for off road. Better fuel mileage as well. The 237 has the shortest stroke of all the dodge flatheads. It is 1/8" shorter than the 218 and about 3/8" shorter than the 230. The other nice thing is that most of the 237s are found in the 1 1/2 ton trucks which use an 11" clutch/flywheel assembly which are much stronger and smoother than the 10" clutch used in the PW/M-37. The starter and throw out bearing remain the same. Clutch will last forever.
