an integral "in-the-box" Gemmer unit in the 1960's. The steering gear box was about twice as large as a manual steering box, and the power steering pump on the wngine block was driven by fan belts.
The "add-on" drag link and cyclider power steering system by Garrison was available as a factory approved accessory from dealers for other 1960's PWs (W100, W200, W300 & W500) for which the factory did not offer power steering.
