About a month ago, someone was asking about the best hubs for a Power Wagon. I chimed in to say that Mile Marker sent me a defective Selectro Hub, but quickly righted their wrong by promising to send me a new one right away. Time passed, and the hub never arrived. Now they have no recollection of our previous conversation and are not as willing to help as first believed. After half dozen phone calls, my replacement hub is supposedly on its way.

The problem: One of the hubs they sent me was too small. It looked identical to the other one which fit fine. Careful measurement showed the bolt pattern on the 6 attaching holes was 1/8 of an inch too narrow. We attempted to drill the holes out, but the entire piece was "shrunken" so that there was not enough metal left bewteen the holes and the outside diameter of the part.

If you get one of these hubs that doesn't go on easily, measure it and send it back. If I had been a little less patient, I might have torn something up trying to force this thing on. Who knows how many of these pieces of junk they made.

I'm also glad we had the forethought to drill and tap the Selectro flanges just like the original drive flanges. This makes it possible to push the flange off with a pair of bolts-much easier than prying, pulling, swearing, beating, and breaking.
