Cab Seam Repair on 1952 B4 PW

I'm currently restoring a 52 B4 PW and working on the cab seam which was completely rotted out. I removed the rotted trim pieces and cleaned out the seam groove. Since doing this, I noticed the cab top and windshield surround move a little bit when you press down on them. Does anyone know a proper repair procedure to maintain the original seam trim (or something that looks like the original)? I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.
