Sterling, something I forgot to mention, if you have a timing light you can check your plug wires to make sure they are working, if you are using carbon graphite wires, sometimes heat will break them down, hook your light to the wire at the plug while at idle and see if the light is firing at a steady rate, if nothing shows up start the truck at night, if there is any leakage in the wires you will find it then. are you still with the points and condenser?? if so stay there, easier to deal with a failure on the trail, whole lot more conveinent to carry a spare set of plugs points and condenser,(30.00) as opposed to spare electronic set-up(200.00) if you can get it warmed up run a compression test if you haven't already, anyway the plugs need to be pulled for a "read" if there is a couple of cyl. giving trouble the plugs will isolate the cylinders. you mentioned in an earlier post about you distriber moving, mine wobbled while the engine was running! a twenty thousands washer took care of it. as I think of stuff I'll post up. until you say stop. good luck.
