Will a carter BB fit my 251

This guy who owns a carburetor shop claims that a Carter BB will fit my 251 ( according to him the only difference being the location of the choke. Is this true? he list 1942-1960 with 251 motor in his ebay ad but im almost certain that was all 230 ci years, They make be the same though. Im looking to pick up a spare rebuilt carb. Help me make an informed decision.
