I forgot to mention on the last forum, as it happens, the day before you got back from your vacation, I put on that fuel pump you sent me last winter. My other M37 that's sat for a year was not pumping, and rather than take it apart and futz with it some more, I realized I still had that pump. Popped it right in and it works great.

I'm embarrassed to say the first truck (the one the threw the rod) still has an electric pump on it. When I installed the engine, I broke the mechanical fuel pump and in order to fire it up and see if it ran, I slapped on an electric one I happened to have sitting around, and of course since it works (for now), I left it. The one advantage I can see for the electric there is that the truck has no gas gauge and if I run out of gas (boat gas tank under the seat), I can tell right away because even with the engine off, the electric pump keeps going "tick-tick-tick". Not much of an advantage, I know.

Anyway, thanks for the good mechanical pump, and I'm happy to say it's pumping away like a champ. It's great to know they still make them.
