I posted the following in a past forum. It may help you with your decision;
"Keep in mind that many times its cheaper in the long run to buy a NON project PW. The costs in bringing a project PW back to life can climb like a homesick angel. Further a lot depends on your skill level in fabrication, mechanics and body work.

Not to discourage you in any way. A project PW or other truck/can can be done. I brought a 1943 WC-53 Carryall back to life that was better suited for Crusher Food. But it took untold hours and deep pockets. Click on the highlighted link below and look at the Album 1943 Dodge Carryall for ideas of what you may be up against.

With all that said, it is fun to bring one back to life. Its a education and re-honing of all your skills, and learning new skills"
