They are reversible. If you look close at these and the #'s on them, one is right and the other is left rotation. There are 2 different sets of gears and several ways they can be set up. I have this info from Braden. The one thing I need to find out is if it matters which way you run the gears. I think they can be run either way but I need some confirmation from Braden. The one thing I know needs taken care of is turning the drum brake to work with the rotation direction if you change it.
These are an 8,000 lb rated winch but the Braden information shows capacity with up to a 1/2" cable. HTH
