The bridge is a 'bridge to nowhere' on both ends.
Cabins OK, but front yards have gone down stream. They will have to hike out of the Big Thompson canyon up the south wall. A couple people will need to be winched into helicopters, they are too ill to hike, and the only places to land have gone to Loveland and Greeley.
The flood of '76 was one big ba-woosh, this was several days to erode the canyon back to full width.
It'll be weeks to months before they can drive their trucks out.
