In late July or early August, there was frost about an hour north of us. We were setting all kinds of records for low morning temperatures (for those dates). Then, summer came. Nothing like packing all of summer into a 3-week period complete with record highs (for those dates) right around 100 and heat indexes of 110. We finally got .200 of an inch of rain the day before yesterday. First moisture to hit the ground since August 2nd. I hope the world is not relying upon Midwest farmers to feed them this year!
