Three mounts allow the frame to twist a lot more, without shearing bolts.

So unless you go to a single at rear of tranny, I wouldn't use side mounts at engine. Leastwise, not off road.

Triangle, point forward was Chrysler ala 30's. Triangle point backward has been the SOP since the 50s.

But Marty's mileage may vary?
