It also wrecks the (silicone?) fuel lines. I had all kinds of trouble with my Pionjar rock drill until it finally wouldn't run at all for more than a few seconds. Took it apart and the fuel line was spit where it comes out of the tank. Tried to splice it and re-use it so I could keep working, but it just disintegrated. Replaced it with some stuff that's supposed to be ethanol-resistant and for now it's working like a champ. The "carburetor" has two spring steel reed valves, and no diaphragm, so hopefully there is nothing else for the ethanol to attack.
