i've looked under many both the defenders and the series trucks. they are a great design, poorly executed. there is a large aftermarket trade in frames, engine conversions and the like. I lived in the UK and had friends that were LR enthusiasts. i met several guys at beltring who had LRs and I queried them about purchasing an ex MOD unit. they would openly discuss the issues common to their vehicles. i suspect that all old iron has their specific deficiencies, but i wouldn't accept the ones that come with a LR.
