In this instance, we were up at Carova Beach near the VA line.
I wanted to take my dad (age 87) up to see the wild horses there.
There were a lot of vehicles there that day, in part because they haven't made them buy a permit up there to drive on the beach unlike everywhere else.
I drove the truck down to Ocracoke over Memorial Day with a few other PW Dodgers. The ferry workers from Hatteras put us in the "tunnel" of the boat to keep salt spray off.
Where do you live in NC?
