On the up shift, no double clutching needed, just pause between gears for a second, to allow the input shaft speed to coast down, then into the next gear.

On downshifts, you need to clutch, shift to neutral, let out clutch and rev slightly, then clutch and shift into lower gear. The point there is to get the input shaft up to the higher speed required in the lower gear.

Now, once you learn to match the internal speeds, you may never need to clutch on up-shifts again. And with speeds matched, little wear to disc, you may NEVER wear out a clutch again. I went 150,000 on a disc in my F250, before a pressure plate finger broke. It just wore in half at the pivot pin. I changed the disc too at that point.
