Yup, I agree.
I actually find soft springs worse...especially in the front. The 2011 3500 I have I just installed heavier coils up front. With the weight of the 6.7, even hitting a speed bump at slow speed would completely bottom the springs with a crash.
Leaf springs in the front are never going to allow for a good ride & so it's just something you live with if you want a Power Wagon that hasn't been bastardized.
Rear springs...I've often thought the best bet would be to do as Paul did & lighten the leafs way up but then install an airbag for when you want to haul a load but I just can't stomach the thought of new technology on these old trucks. I honestly would haul my trucks to the scrap yard long before I'd install a modern gauge or seat that didn't look like it was built the same year the truck was...never mind an airbag.
Sorry boys...once that modern junk goes in you may as well have mounted your WDX on a Dodge Dakota frame in my book.
But that's the beauty of opinions...we all get our own one :)
