This is a question, is the starter really strong enough to bend a rod? I have heard of hydrolocking and in fact my brother killed a jeep engine with water but it was running at the time. I would have bet the starter wouldn't have the torque, in fact I wouldn't have the thought the engine had the torque and that it was the inertia of the flywheel that bent the rods. Sorry doesn't answer the question but I am curious.
