M37's with the 100 amp kit were used with the RAdioTeleType system. We called them RATT rigs. It only took 60 years for civilians to come up with RATT RODS.

I bought a M37 that had the 100 amp kit. It has less than 5,000 actual miles on it now. Because they carried a signal shelter, they were not driven as much as a truck that made regular runs for the Mess Hall or the supply room. I know the guy who drove it from the Fort Hood PDO to the nearby VFD and the mileage is correct.

The engine in a typical RATT rig truck had more hours idling at Motor Stables than it ever had being driven on the road.
