Tractors are a lot more plentiful and cheaper than the M37's.
A friend of mine used an older Farmall row crop style tractor (higher clearance vs a utility tractor) to launch his boat in and out of the Bay here for many years. Worked great for a purpose similar to what APB mentioned, and also easy to wash off the salt water regularly vs a vehicle. I know from having boat trailers that fresh water rinsing off is really important to slow down rust.
