If you plan to do cruising speeds above 35 mph, switch out the front differential for a more modern unit. The chamber/toe-in of the stock diff wears the tires at a fast rate and the faster you go, the faster they wear down. The front diff of the FFPW is the same as the 3/4 ton WC, and to get a 100% of normal tire wear, the Military in WW2 cruised there trucks at 35mph to get 100% normal tire wear. If your wallets loaded and money is no problem, leave it stock and have fun.

I have 11r16 XL’s and 5.83s, and at 2,000 rpm the truck moves at 38mph, and with the offset crank rods of the 230 engine, that’s good for me.
