tonight i took the crew out for a ride. running perfect after not using it for a month or so due to the ny heat. after cruising around, started to get a rumble under the hood, that precedes the vapor lock. pulled over, used my son's water bottle to cool the zenith carb and fuel line. they were hot. going to make a longer fuel line to move it further away from the manifold. going to buy some of that fuel line wrap from summit. thinking of some sort of insulation to go on the manifold side of the heat shield. cannot remember if this fuel pump has modern internals.. might be time for a rebuild....
