I've got one. There is no better place than the radiator of an old beat up, un-restored FFPW to hang a desert water bag.

Desert water bags were a frequent companion to evaporative coolers for people driving across the Mojave desert during the 50's.

Now, cars are so reliable, that people think nothing of driving across the Mojave desert and even visiting Death Valley with no extra water in the car. Occasionally, people die because of that decision.

Never leave the paved roads in the California desert without extra water. It's a good idea anywhere, especially during winter, to have a survival kit in your car or truck.
